ESTABLISHED: 1895 on land donated by Peter and Anna Nordby.

LOCATION:From the Nordland Post Office (Nordland General Store) go North 0.5 miles on Flagler Road. Turn right and go 0.7 miles on E Marrowstone Road. Turn left and go 0.1 mile on Sound View Cemetery Road.

COMPILERS: This project could not be completed without the help of many people: In 1984 Margaret Beveridge, Cynthia Rowe, and Iona Cole. In 2005 Eileen Martin, Mary Stolaas, Mimi Starks, and Bev Brice database assistance.

SOURCE OF INFORMATION: JCGS members compiled an index for the cemetery in 1984. This information came from a combination of walking the cemetery and funeral home records. In 1984 no distinction was made between information found in the records as opposed to seen on the walk through. In 2005 JCGS completed an update to these records:

• The cemetery was walked, making note of those with markers and any information contained on the markers was entered in the report.
• The cemetery map is dated 2005.
• Burials are limited to Marrowstone Island residents, close relatives, property owners, and others approved by the Marrowstone Island Community Association Board.
• The current list combines all the work done in 1984 and 2005.
