If you are interested in receiving the complete record to an item you found on one of the online indexes, we can send you the appropriate document via email. We have a list of people who can also do research on your Jefferson County surname and provide either emailed copies or printed copies if you require that. You will need to make a separate arrangement with the researcher and a fee may be involved for printed copies and/or their further research. This arrangement is with the researcher and not with JCGS. JCGS does not recommend any researcher above another. Each researcher may have a specialty. We can email you a list of the researchers available if you require extra research or copies.

You may either complete the Research Request Form and mail it to the mailing address on the form (Please include a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope). Or you may send an email request giving the same information as is on the Research Request Form. There is a lot of information available at the Research Center that is not on the website. On the Research Request Form give us as much information as possible on your Jefferson County family, noting what records you have already searched.

All requests for research of the JCGS databases and other records must be submitted using the Research Request Form (or a letter providing all the requested information).
