ESTABLISHED: about 1906

LOCATION: The Gardiner Community Cemetery, Jefferson County Cemetery District #3, 225 Orchard View Lane, Gardiner, Wash., 98382-8765. On Gardiner Cemetery Road, just south of Highway 101.

Driving Instructions: From the junction of Highway 101 and State Route 20, go 6.4 miles north on Highway 101, then 0.1 miles south on Gardiner Cemetery Road. The cemetery is on your left.

MAP: A map of graves with names marked is available in the JCGS Library. Burials are indicated by a diagonal line through the lot, others are owners with no burials.

COMPILERS: This project could not be completed without the help of many people.

 SOURCE OF INFORMATION: JCGS members compiled an index for the cemetery in 1985. This information came from a combination of walking the cemetery and funeral home records. In 1985 no distinction was made between information found in the records as opposed to seen on the walk through. In 2005 JCGS completed an update to these records:

• The Sexton Records held by the Gardiner Grange were extracted and are identified in the record. The Gardiner Grange is currently working toward changing the legal basis of the cemetery to a Cemetery Association.
• The cemetery was walked, making note of those with markers and any information contained on the markers was entered in the list.
• Special note: graves in Rows J&K but above the road that encircles the cemetery are on land owned by the neighbor.
• The current list combines all the work done in 1985, 2005 and 2012.

As is true with all compiled records, errors may have occurred. It is suggested that you verify the information.
