ESTABLISHED: The first recorded burial was in 1902.

LOCATION: Port Townsend; Adjacent to the southwest corner of Fort Worden State Park, approximately 1.5 miles due north of the Port Townsend business district. At the corner of W and Spruce Streets

From the Jefferson County Courthouse in Port Townsend, go 0.5 miles NNW on Walker Street to where it angles right and becomes Cherry Street. Continue 1.0 miles on Cherry Street to the intersection of Cherry and W Streets. (The main gate of Fort Worden is directly ahead of you.) Turn left and go 0.2 miles on W Street. Fort Worden Military Cemetery is on your right.

HISTORY: This is a military post cemetery.  The US Army left Ft. Worden in 1953, and the Fort became a state park with the exception of the burial ground.
